The role and significance of technological progress in the life of society in the 21st century is comprehensively analyzed. In particular, the rapid development of information technologies, the widespread use of artificial intelligence systems, innovations in the field of biotechnology, and achievements in the direction of green energy are deeply covered. The article analyzes the formation of the digital economy, the expansion of the global information space, and the impact of modern technologies on the quality of human life, labor activity, and the education system. It also considers social and environmental problems arising in the process of technological development, ways to eliminate them, and the importance of innovative approaches. Scientifically based ideas are presented about the main directions of technological development in the future, including the prospects for artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum technologies and intelligent systems. This article aims to reveal the role of modern technologies in the development of society and their impact on future development.
