Abstract
This article analyzes the pedagogical significance of the activity-oriented method (Handlungsorientierung – HO) in teaching a foreign language. The main purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of HO methods in developing students' communicative, cognitive and social skills. Based on modern foreign language methodology and didactic literature, it was shown that HO activates the learning process, increases motivation and allows students to practically use the language in real-life situations. The results of the study show that the action-oriented approach produces high results in learning a foreign language by making the learning process interactive, practical and effective.
