The Effect Of Different Rates And Application Periods Of Nitrogen Fertilizers On The Growth, Development And Yield Of Sweet Pepper

The effect of different rates and application periods of nitrogen fertilizers on the growth, development, and productivity of sweet pepper was studied. The research was conducted on takyr-meadow soils. Nitrogen was applied at various rates (N70P49K35, N100P70K50, N150P105K75, N200P140K100, N250P175K125) along with phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. The results showed that the optimal nitrogen rate increased the content of ammonium and nitrate nitrogen in the soil and accelerated the onset of budding, flowering, and fruiting stages by 7–12 days. The best results were observed at N100–N200 rates. Excessive nitrogen slightly delayed the fruiting period. The study provides practical recommendations for the effective use of nitrogen fertilizers to obtain high and quality yields of sweet pepper.
