Peculiarities Of Education Of Children With Mental Retardation: Psychological Characteristics And Pedagogical Approaches

This article is devoted to the study of the specific psychological and pedagogical characteristics of children with mental retardation in the educational process within the framework of the master's thesis. The study analyzes the cognitive processes of students with mental retardation - in particular, the specific aspects of attention and memory. It also considers effective pedagogical methods and approaches aimed at eliminating difficulties in the educational activities of these children, including the importance of an adapted learning environment, visual aids, gradualism and repetition. The article considers the principles of inclusive education developing in modern education and the necessary conditions for their implementation. The conclusion summarizes the main principles of supporting children with mental retardation in education.
